Flexible.. Options to suit you!…
I’m not going to admit I was wrong just yet, but it is a possibility. A bit over a week ago we published a piece that didn’t exactly talk-up the idea of the Apple watch. But now I’ve seen the promo video and it’s hard to say that I’m not just a little taken by it. Apple has their eye on keeping the watch in the fashion world, with a technological spin.
The watch is dynamic. It’s not a one size fits all, nor is it (as my scarf says) “one size fits most”. The body of the watch comes in two different sizes with three different designs. These include a more refined golden watch, a crisp dynamic watch truly in the style of Apple, and thirdly a watch designed for people with sport on their mind. Bases are covered.
Then there’s the interface, which only makes one word come to mind: flexible. If you have a screen that can display images, then you have a screen that can be flexible. It can tell you the time, it can display an inspiring quote, it can be a picture of yourself in case you need to be reminded of your own shortcomings. The possibilities are expanding with every picture that’s taken.
The watches made an appearance at an exclusive pop-up at Colette in Paris as part of Paris Fashion Week. This just highlights the technology brand’s drive to give a fashionable edge to an accessory classic. This is an important step if Apple wish to bridge the gap between cool gadget and suave showpiece.
Amongst all the reviews this device gets, I can’t really comment until I get my hands (or wrist) on one, because occasionally there are flaws that aren’t so obvious straight away… Perhaps it bends.
