Dolce & Gabbana.. Women’s Winter Fashion Show 2014…

In case you haven’t heard, Winter 2014 won’t be a throw back to the 80’s, the 60’s or the 20’s, but more so to 27A.D.

The Dolce and Gabbana Women’s Winter Fashion Show 2014, highlights the ‘Mosaics Collection,’ showcasing pieces with saintly embroideries, heavenly lacing and glamorously detailed high heels.

The Fashionistas are still not sure whether they will give their stamp of approval to this bold collection, or whether they will crucify it for being too artistic and impractical.

More puzzling was the soundtrack for the show that started off very much like the music from the Godfather, and then transcended all sense to turn into something akin to a Benny Hill montage. Despite the comical music, the models all kept their feet, and some gems managed to gleam their way through.

The Accessories were stunning. The handbags, either embroidered or crocodile skin leather, were tasteful and desirable. The high heels were also eye catching and alluring, and the jewellery that some of the models were fortunate enough to sport, the crowns and tiaras, were absolutely sublime.

I’m not convinced with these dresses, from a practical sense. They were beautiful, and the skill involved to produce those garments, with all of their adornments, would have needed to be of the highest quality. They might not sell too many pieces from this collection for everyday use, but if a remake of the movie Troy is on the cards, they may win an Oscar for best Costume Design.
