The emphasis on detail is a trademark for Bulgari, which is highlighted in their stunning new Serpent Collection.

There is so much going on with this bracelet that you need to stare at it for a long time to process the intricacies of the detail, but don’t dare look it in the eyes. The use of the diamond, ruby and jade stones stick out, but the layering of the metal is truly a work of art. It’s not often you look at a bracelet and wonder what it would actually be like wearing a piece with such a fascinating design, but also then have the bracelet stare right back at you.

My favourite aspect? The tongue. While the idea is simple, the design and the cheekiness of the final product have been done to perfection.

To the men reading, I wouldn’t buy it as a ‘I’m sorry’ gift, bearing in mind mythical connotations snakes have. In fact, I would implore all men to never touch this at all. This is a piece that strikes fear in the eyes of many, and if this serpent was to offer me some Granny Smith’s from the Garden of Eden, I dare you to find anyone who would resist.
