It’s back in trend.. Opulent accessories at their finest…

“More is More”… Never has a truer word been spoken. While “too much” can be “too much” the recent accessories movements in the fashion world seem to highlight this unrelenting desire for accessories… lots of accessories.

Much like our write up about how pearls are often worn today with a mixture of colours and designs (Pearls of Wisdom.. David Yurman’s makeover for a timeless classic…), the same applies for accessories.

Featured above is a photo by Dan Forbes that highlights this latest trend of Luminance and Opulence. The gleaming of the stones in this image is the clear highlight, coupled with the range of ‘cool’ colours (blue, pink and green). The way the colour scheme is paired gives a very royal feel to this shoot.

With Wimbledon kicking off in England, and the effortless style of the British upper-classes glimmering through, it is hard to picture a colour scheme such as this being viewed as anything less than “opulence at its finest.”
