Matt Preston, you have some serious questions to answer for this. The trend for Spring 2014 following Louis Vuitton and Saint Laurent’s Spring-Summer collection is that bandanas are being reborn. Whether or not the cravat-wearing connoisseur had anything to do with this is up in the air, but the famous accessory of eras past is well and truly back.

While on the catwalk these accessories appear around the necks of people John Wayne probably would have beaten in a shootout, as opposed to John Wayne himself, the reality is, these pieces can exist beyond the realms of bikies, train robbers and Texas rangers.

The positives of the bandana, when they are in fashion, is that they are extremely cost effective, can display very intricate designs and have an array of colours to suit any mood. It is for these reasons that the bandana would be a great addition to the look of today’s modern man.
