In the press.. Chanel Mosaic Necklace
To incorporate a wide range of materials in one piece of jewellery is a very easy thing to get wrong. Matching a varying landscape of colour with a multitude of textures is no easy feat. Here, Chanel has produced a mosaic, white gold necklace with rubies, sapphires and pearls, which ‘headlines’ it’s South Sea collection.
This is the second time here at the Accessories guild where we have reviewed a piece of jewellery sprawled across some newspapers. Catching our attention is the headline of one of the articles in the background, which is titled “questions even Google can’t answer.” This article was purposely placed by the cunning photographer who wanted to make a statement about how accessories, in particular jewellery, are sometimes hard to describe, explain and comprehend.
The article’s headline, “Jewellery in the press” pays homage to how much of an impact items of Bijoux will have on shaping the world. If Chanel can consistently produce stunning bibs like these, then the headlines they are making will continue to last a very long time.
